Vladimir Martinović was elected president of the Municipality of Kolašin by the votes of the councilors of the Democrats, the Europe Now Movement, the Democratic Front, the Socialist People's Party, Ura and United Montenegro.
He was also voted for by the councilor of the opposition Movement Together we Build Kolašin Milivoje Bulatović and the Voter Group Momčilo Vukčević.
The new President of the Municipality announced a number of projects that, he said, would improve the quality of life of the citizens of Kolašin, but he also promised that there would be no revanchism.
"The honor that comes with it, the position of the President of the Municipality is accompanied by the obligation to use the trust you have shown me so that, working with my team, in the coming period, we will make all citizens proud to be residents of Kolašin... It is natural that the citizens expect the new government to be the holder of progress compared to the previous one and I, as the first man of Kolašin, will try, during my mandate, to show that such expectations on the part of our citizens were realistic, justified and rightly based on the trust shown in the recently held elections", he said. is he.
Martinović explained that "in the coming period, he sees Kolašin as a municipality where "no citizen will feel defeated".
"Defeated in the sense that because of his affiliation, whether political or otherwise, he does not realize the right to improve his living conditions, which must be provided by the local administration, because it is the service of all citizens, not the privileged on any basis. This is one of the primary principles that I intend to be guided by in my work, and that is what I will ask of my colleagues and all employees in the local administration. What can be defeated are backward concepts and old habits that rightfully cause reactions from our fellow citizens," he said.
Martinović, among other things, announced the work on the preparation of the MOSI games, as well as that the local administration, immediately after the holidays, will start the process of creating tender documents for the development of the project for the garage in Kolašin.
"Also, Kolašin will have new and beautiful streets; in agreement with the state institutions, we are preparing asphalting on the stretch from the intersection to the bypass that goes next to the church of St. Dimitrija and further along Milivoja Bulatovića Street to the end of Željeznička Street. Also, we will work and, I hope, successfully implement, in cooperation with the state, reconstruct the road to Trešnjevik, Bare Kraljske, Mateševo, as well as the reconstruction of the road Mateševo - Kolašin. Moreover, when I speak about cooperation with the state, I am not speaking in vain, but I have promises that it will be done. And I have no reason to doubt that because the interest of the state in these matters corresponds perfectly with the interest of Kolašin", promised the new president of the Municipality of Kolašin.
He also announced the arrangement of city areas, the arrangement of the entrance to the city, the reconstruction of Boško Rašovića Street, solving the problems of water supply, sewage networks, construction of lighting, roads...
"All city services will work to improve the quality of life of our citizens in every period of the day and year. We will support sports, and reward the best teams and individuals. In cooperation with colleagues from the Center for Culture, we will improve the cultural contents and use the potential of the already European-known KUD Mijat Mašković. We will provide adequate help and care to the elderly, pensioners, vulnerable categories, and improve cooperation with the municipal Red Cross organization and the NGO sector," said Martinović.
He also promised support for farmers and the development of rural tourism, as well as open cooperation with investors and everyone who wishes Kolašin well.
