The deputies of the Bosniak Party, through amendments to the Bill on the Budget for 2023, will request the allocation of additional funds for the reconstruction of road routes and the improvement of infrastructure in Bijelo Polje, Petnjica, Plav and Bar.
The MP of the Bosniak Party, Amer Smailović, by amendment requested an allocation from the budget in the amount of 10 million euros for the reconstruction of the road Bioča-Petnjica.
As stated in the statement of the Bosniak Party, he said in his explanation that this is a road route that is important for the development of the northern region of Montenegro, and at the same time a project related to the development of the regional road infrastructure.
"Namely, the citizens of Petnjica, as one of the youngest municipalities, and unfortunately one of the poorest municipalities, deserve that the government quickly starts improving the living conditions of the citizens of this municipality. This amendment shows the state's concern for the citizens of this region who are waiting for the construction of this road, which is crucial for the further development of this municipality. The construction of this road would have multiple effects - this would be a phase that would connect Petnjica with other municipalities, but it would also connect other municipalities as well as Petnjica with Serbia and enable the conditions to build the Petnjica-Tutin main road as soon as possible," he said. Smailović.
With the amendment, Smailović requested additional funds for the construction of the Srđevac-Lozna road.
Estimated funds for this route are 100 thousand euros, and according to Smailović's amendment, the funds would, as he states, increase to one million euros.
"The reconstruction of the Srđevac - Sušica road is extremely important for a large number of villages that gravitate to the area of Bihor in the municipality of Bijelo Polje. The total length of the road is 8,6 km, and the works for the first phase have been contracted in the amount of 2,461,983 euros. In the meantime, the land was expropriated for the first phase (Srđevac – Lozna). This road is part of the strategic plan of the municipality of Bijelo Polje. The foreseen Capital Budget for this project did not allocate funds that would enable the realization of this project. It is necessary to provide the population of this area with better living conditions. In the area of Bihor, there are a large number of villages that are ideal for cattle breeding, however, poor road infrastructure hinders the development of this area and is one of the causes of the migration of residents from this area. One of the main local roads that connects most of the Bihor villages is in a bad condition and requires reconstruction," Smailović's explanation states.
It is added that the deputies of the Bosniak Party requested additional funds for asphalting and reconstruction of local roads in the municipality of Plav.
"The reconstruction of the road routes Glavica - Beškovića mahal - Rudo polje, Korita - Komarača, Kasarna - Skic, Džamija Šabovića - Bogajica, Završ - Jasenica and Novšica - Velika would include rehabilitation of the most critical points and resurfacing with asphalt. By rehabilitating the mentioned road routes, the local population would be able to move better and safer", the explanation states.
Also, the BS MP's amendment requested, as announced, the allocation of 200.000 euros for the construction of a gymnasium for the "Mrkojevići" Elementary School in Pečurice, Bar municipality.
They state that the project is of great importance for the children in Mrkojevići, but also for the entire local community.
The elementary school in Mrkojevići is, as they say, the only one in the area of the municipality of Bar that does not have a gym for physical education.
Hundreds of students conduct physical education classes in an open space, so with the implementation of that project, they would finally have the opportunity to adequately conduct physical education classes.
"Also, there are sports clubs operating in this local community, which will receive adequate conditions for their activities with the construction of a school hall. The allocated funds would be the participation of the Government of Montenegro in this project, which would finally start the implementation, according to the co-financing model, as and provided for in the Memorandum signed by the relevant Ministry of Education in 2019, with the Municipality of Bar and the Association of Expatriates "Rumija" from Chicago", states the amendment of the BS MP.
