The Constitutional Court must be a reflection of independence, professionalism and competence, and not any cheap political deals, said the leader of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić.
He, in a conversation with the special envoy of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Zaracin, emphasized that the election of judges of the Constitutional Court and the abolition of the economic citizenship program are key steps taken by the legislative and executive authorities, in order for Montenegro to finally speed up the process of European integration.
"The Constitutional Court must be a reflection of independence, professionalism and competence, and not any cheap political deals," said Bečić.
He said that in this way institutions are strengthened, European integrations are accelerated, but also create prerequisites for the smooth running of any electoral process.
"We want a Montenegro with strong institutions, free and reconciled citizens, which grabs the European future, not a Montenegro with blocked institutions, divided and polarized citizens, which lives in the shackles of crime, corruption, divisions, hatred and the past," said Bečić.
