The Committee of Democrats of the Capital City has started preparations for the upcoming elections for the President of Montenegro, and as they announced, they are nearing the end of activities related to collecting signatures of support for their candidate.
"Several thousand citizens of Podgorica have already supported that Democratic Montenegro has a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections and thus showed that the presidential candidate of Democratic Montenegro will also be the president of our country. As undoubtedly the party with the strongest infrastructure, we are already creating the conditions for the efficient operation of the party infrastructure and we expect that in the capital, the presidential candidate of our party will achieve by far the best election result," the Democrats said in a statement.
They also add that the signatures of thousands of citizens of Podgorica supporting the Democratic presidential candidate are a good indication of that election victory.
"Some obviously lack political correctness in addition to political responsibility, so they try to manipulate. We repeat - bearing in mind that Europe has now rejected the call for the unification of civil forces and a joint appearance in the parliamentary and presidential elections, Democratic Montenegro will, in accordance with the conclusions of the Presidency, have a candidate for the President of Montenegro Gore," the statement concludes.
