The SDP and DPS delegation, which consisted of officials Borislav Banović and Ivan Vujović, i.e. vice-presidents of the Democratic Party of Socialists Ivan Vuković and Sanja Damjanović, visited Berlin over the past two days.
As DPS said, organized through the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the visit was used for meetings with highly influential representatives of the German government and parliament and the ruling Social Democratic Party (SPD).
In the statement, they state that they had meaningful and useful discussions about the current political situation in Montenegro with Christiane Hullmann, head of the department for the Western Balkans in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Klara Geywitz, a minister in the German government and a high-ranking official of the ruling SPD, Alexander Jung, adviser in the cabinet Chancellor Solac, Kevin Kuhnert, General Secretary of the SPD, Josip Juratović and Adis Ahmetović, members of the Bundestag in charge of monitoring the political situation in the region, Nils Schmidt, spokesperson of the SPD parliamentary group for foreign policy issues.

The interlocutors, as they said, emphasized the high level of support for the European integration of Montenegro, while reminding that the rapprochement of the countries of the EU region is defined as one of the foreign policy priorities of the German government.
"The agreement regarding the election of judges of the Constitutional Court was welcomed. The consolidation of political conditions in our country and the continuation of reforms in the direction of meeting the requirements for EU membership are recognized as extremely important for the entire region, especially in light of the increasingly obvious malignant foreign policy influence of Russia in the Western Balkans." they stated in the statement.
