The state should recognize the importance of organizations that advocate for the preservation of the values of anti-fascism, on whose foundations today's Montenegro was built, assessed Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović.
As announced by Đukanović's cabinet, today he received the president of the Association of NOR fighters and anti-fascists of Montenegro Zuvdija Hodžić and general secretary Dragan Mitovo Đurović in anticipation of the upcoming congress of that organization.
It is reported that Đukanović welcomed the definition of the Alliance's new strategy, stressing that anti-fascism has never been more relevant since the Second World War until today.
"Đukanović said that it is important for the state to recognize the importance of organizations that advocate for the preservation of the values of anti-fascism, on the foundations of which today's Montenegro was built," the statement said.
It is stated that Hodžić and Đurović thanked Đukanović for the understanding and support he continuously shows towards the fighters, anti-fascism and the idea that the Organization inherits.
"That, as they said, is evidenced by the results of Montenegro since the referendum. They informed the President that the association of NOR fighters and anti-fascists will participate in the Congress of the World Federation of Veterans in Belgrade and convey messages about neo-fascism in these areas", said the Information Service.
Hodžić and Đurović invited Đukanović to participate in the seventh congress of SUBNOR on March 3 in Podgorica, which he accepted.
At that congress, as they announced, perseverance on the anti-fascist path with a view to the future will be confirmed by involving young people in the protection and promotion of anti-fascism as an all-time value.
