We strongly condemn the violent and thuggish behavior of members of the Border Police at the border crossing Sukobin - Murićani, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced today.

"The barbaric mistreatment of an Albanian citizen by members of the Montenegrin police is a reflection of the most primitive behavior that is abhorrent to every sane citizen of Montenegro. What we saw on the video is not only not in the spirit of moral and ethical norms, but should be subject to the strictest punishment as well the condemnation of the entire society," the DPS press release points out.
They added that the inhumane and barbaric treatment of the policeman, towards a foreign citizen, is a reflection of the climate in society, where hatred and intolerance have been encouraged for two and a half years, creating an atmosphere from a vampirized and grotesque past.
"The democratic public expects an immediate reaction from the competent authorities and the most severe punishments for the perpetrators of this shameful act, so that it never happens again. With this outrageous act, the thugs, who wore the emblems of this country on their uniforms, disgraced themselves and all of us, especially numerous colleagues who honorably carry out their work, in accordance with their powers and prescribed protocols, and do not want to be identified with primitive thugs," said the DPS.
