The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, said today that, as March 19 approaches (the day when the presidential elections are scheduled), we should expect more and more videos, graffiti, nationalism, tensions and attempts to create a bad atmosphere in relation to Albanians and Bosniaks. .
He said this to journalists in Villa Gorica when asked to comment on the video about the situation with the border police.
"He saw the footage back on January 15, we already took action then. Police officers who have certain problems cannot be part of the service and that will be resolved," said Abazović.
He said that it was a situation that elementary traffic rules were not respected, nor were the columns that existed at that moment.
"My appeal is to everyone, especially to police officers, that we all be tolerant. But people who exceed their authority must be adequately punished," Abazović pointed out.
He added that he expects that to happen, according to the offense that someone commits.
Abazović said that "not everything is exactly as it is on the video".
"On the video, you have an intervention when several policemen have already approached the vehicle. Before that there were some actions, which need to be determined, and some violations, which is why this problem occurred," he said.
Abazović pointed out that police torture of anyone cannot be tolerated.
Speaking about the case with the border police, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Filip Adžić, said that it was an event from January 15 and that it was brought up to date because of the upcoming presidential elections.
According to him, the MUP initiated all legal procedures.
"What surprises me is that some citizens want us to work outside the law, to remove some people from service outside the law," said Adžić and added that there are many officials he does not want to see in those positions.
He added that there is no legal possibility to remove some officials from service before all procedures have been followed.
"We have done everything we could, internal control and the Ethics Committee have undertaken activities, we expect their managers, if there are elements, to send a proposal for suspension," said Adžić.
He added that, if there are elements, he invites the prosecution to get involved in that case.
Adžić pointed out that, even while he is the minister, no one will be able to humiliate police officers.
"No one mentions why the mentioned person did not act according to the order of the police officer. Violence is not the solution, but we must know that one must act according to the order of an official," Adžić pointed out.
He stated that they are waiting for the statement of the injured person.
Adžić pointed out that the citizens with the videos should have turned to the authorities, and added that they got the video from the media.
He said that he did not employ any police officers and that they were all employed before his mandate.
"The number of officials who are suspected of having a certain type of illegal activity is not small," Adžić concluded.
