The vice-president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Ivan Vuković said that the victory of the leader of that party and the current president of the country, Milo Đukanović, will return Montenegro to the European path.
"His victory in the presidential elections in 1997 traced the European path of Montenegro. His victory in the upcoming elections will return Montenegro to that path. The president of free, civil and modern Montenegro, the first next member of the EU, our president, Milo Đukanović," wrote is Vuković on Twitter.
At tonight's session, the main board of DPS decided that Đukanović will be the party's presidential candidate.

DPS Vice President Sanja Damjanović said that Đukanović is a European candidate, a statesman and a leader who "always had an understanding for the development of science and numerous humanitarian initiatives".
"Today, more than ever, we need stability, security and the European future of Montenegro for generations to come," she said on Twitter.
Eraković: The president who will introduce us to the EU
DPS vice president Jevto Eraković also spoke.
He said that Đukanović is the president who will bring Montenegro into the European Union.
