After research and party assessments showed that their presidential candidate cannot win in the first round of elections, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is counting on the support of diaspora votes in the second round in order to keep the current position of head of state, "Vijesti" unofficially learns.
According to this information, so far they have been guaranteed the arrival of five thousand voters, and their plan is to secure 20 thousand, which they will work on in the coming days.
For these purposes, they expect the support of the Bosniak Party, which, among other things, is supported by the Montenegrin diaspora. According to informal data, there are more than 20.000 Montenegrin emigrants with the right to vote in Western Europe, but this time it is a problem to bring them due to lack of money, as they are deprived of funds from the state budget, as well as the support of numerous businessmen - donors.
The formal decision on the presidential elections of BS will be made today at the session of the Main Board in Rožaje, but unofficial sources of "Vijesti" state that the leader of that party Ervin Ibrahimovic already promised support to the DPS leader Milo Đukanović. He will stay with the head of state and the re-election candidate at the end of March and the beginning of April in the countries of Western Europe. Mainly in Germany, Luxembourg, then Sweden, Holland... The predecessor is already staying in Germany these days, said one of the sources.

Since the second round of presidential elections will coincide with the great Ramadan fast, which this year begins on March 23, they expect a large number of Bosniaks to be in their homeland.
The law on the election of the president stipulates that if no candidate wins more than 50 percent of the votes in the first round of presidential elections, a second round will be held in 14 days. This means that the second round of elections should take place on April 2.
"Vijesti" was informed by BS that today, at the session of the General Assembly, it will decide on the participation in the elections and how the judges of the Constitutional Court will be voted for. They did not want to comment on information about support for the DPS candidate.
Part of the membership of the BS is advocating for its representative in the elections, which Ibrahimović publicly promoted, mentioning the highest position in the country and Kenan Strujić Harbić, head of the parliamentary club.

President of the Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP) in Montenegro, Seid Hadzic tells "Vijesti" that when it comes to the support of the diaspora, as he states, the DPS should not be sure that they will support them to the extent that they have so far:
"All the diaspora from Montenegro is very well informed and follows very well and knows that when the car goes downhill, it doesn't stop until it hits the bottom".
Hadžić said that the representatives of BS are unclear in their positions, "when they themselves do not know what will come to Milo Djukanović's mind":
"For this reason, there was this delay in taking a stand, which is, to a certain extent, a humiliating attitude towards one's voters. With this kind of relationship, they show that they are in a strong clinch with the DPS - that is nothing new, and that, unfortunately, they can hardly get out of that clinch, but they are only pushing Bosniak voters, very cheaply, to someone who does not deserve that support," he said. Hadzic.
He pointed out that it is very harmful and disastrous for the Bosniak people, in terms of the future development of the political scene in Montenegro, and that this eventual election would continue destabilization and deepen conflicts for another four years.
Hadžić said that the mentioned BS presidential candidate is the head of that party's caucus Kenana Strujić Harbić, a weak candidate and that he cannot gather Bosniaks in Montenegro.
"I wish we were more mature as representatives of our people and that we had the capacity to unite all political and religious subjects, and those who deal with culture, around one Bosniak candidate for the presidential elections in this and such an important moment for Montenegro." Hadzic said.
Hadžić: It is important that the candidate we would support has international respect
Seid Hadžić pointed out that Bosniaks must inherit the policy of reconciliation, as well as the policy of large development projects in the Bosniac region. "Let's ignore these nationalist games and the ping-pong politics of one and the other, which scares people to make a change, and therefore keeps them in the shackles of the nineties," Hadžić pointed out.

He pointed out that BS is eliminating itself from future political processes with this attitude, and that it is "in a stranglehold" with its partners and that it will have to go through an opposition and purgatory phase: "Which I think will be good for them and their the future”.
He pointed out that the SPP - the party he leads, is growing every day and that they share the view that their support will be won by those who support the values and principles they are fighting for for the benefit of the Bosniak people. "It is very important that the eventual candidate we would support has international respect, that he inherits European principles, and that he has proper relations with the countries in the region - primarily important for us Bosniaks, that he has quality relations with Bosnia," said Hadžić.
