The member of the Social Democratic Party in the Parliament, Adnan Striković, called on the competent authorities to check whether there are elements of unscrupulous business, abuse of official position and elements of mobbing towards employees in the actions of the management of Montefarma.
"For too long, Montefarm and the insufficient supply of public health institutions with drugs have been a topic that has rightfully occupied the public," the Social Democratic Party said in a statement.
That is why, as Striković says, they sent a letter to Montefarm in order to become more familiar with the work of this state institution.
"We received an answer based on which we regret to state that the reasons for the above-mentioned problems are now much clearer to us," Striković said.
He emphasizes that "instead of the focus of the work of the management of this institution being the timely and optimal supply of medical institutions with medicines, according to their own statements, they mainly engaged in revanchism and disciplinary procedures against their employees".
Striković claims that this is why Montefarm "in the last two years has become synonymous with punishing its employees".
Striković adds that in the institution that is part of the Public Health system, the director managed to "discipline 65 employees in two years (in 2021, disciplinary punishment for 24 employees, and in 2022, 41 employees)".
"If we bear in mind that the number of employees on November 29 last year was 434, it means that the director of Montefarm managed to fine 15 percent of the total number of employees," said Striković.
Striković points out that of the disciplinary penalties, which ranged from "an average of 30 percent reduction in salary, up to dismissal, the most impressive were the directors' decisions on transferring employees from city to city (from pharmacy to pharmacy)".
"How the management ran Montefarm is additionally shown by the data on unpaid obligations for the last two years," Striković said.
Striković announced that the management managed to make "outstanding obligations for 2021 in the amount of 38.330.000 euros, and on November 29.11.2022, 26.086.000, debts to suppliers (domestic and foreign) amounted to XNUMX euros".
"The director became famous for buying official cars, which drastically exceed the needs of Montefarma," claims Striković.
"First of all, we call on the Ministry of Health, but also other competent authorities to deal with these allegations about the operations of this public institution," Striković concluded.
