The president and deputy of the Liberal Party Andrija Popović apologized to the official of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Andrej Milović for the claims that he was armed during yesterday's convention in Cetinje.
"As I seem to have stumbled upon a media clip, without checking the details of the alleged weapons, I apologize to Mr. Milović from Europe now," Popović said in response to Milović's post on Twitter.
Milovic said he accepts the apology, saying that it is human to make mistakes and apologize. "I also forgive those who target me, fortunately there are witnesses that it was a phone and that I was not armed, only with the awareness that everything will pass peacefully. Montenegro must move forward without poisoning and division. We will succeed," he said.

Popović claimed earlier today that Evropa Now and Milović came to Cetinje yesterday to cause an incident and that Milović was armed.
Popović referred to video recordings that supposedly show this, but he did not publish them, while Milović denied it and said that he never carried a gun.
Not a single media reported that Milović was carrying a gun, and this claim appeared in an unsigned statement by a "group of citizens" published by a part of the media close to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
Popović said on Twitter earlier today, when he made accusations against Milović, that he withdraws yesterday's conviction and "restrictions on the implementation of presidential candidate Milatović's campaign" in Cetinje.
The presidential candidate of the Europe Now Movement, Jakov Milatović, was attacked last night in Cetinje, where a group of citizens protested the holding of a convention in the Sports Center there.
"According to subsequent media footage, Europe Now and their high-ranking armed official Milović came to cause an incident with premeditation. Competent respond, carrying weapons for the authorized," Popović wrote earlier today on Twitter.
He condemned the events in Cetinje last night, saying that in a free and open society all differences are resolved through dialogue.
"I condemn any restriction in the implementation of the campaign for the 2023 presidential elections, as happened today to candidate Milatović in Cetinje, the Montenegrin capital, the hero city. In a free and open society, all differences are resolved through dialogue," Popović said yesterday.
Now the official of Europe, Andrej Milović, announced on Twitter that he had never carried a gun, not even yesterday in Cetinje.
"The disinformation spread by DPS officials and MP Andrija Popović is shameful. The video from the unfortunate incident, caused by a small group of people and instigated by Milo Đukanović's regime, clearly shows that I was looking for a phone, which I thought we had fell out of his pocket in that chaos. The local TV editor and journalist, Pobjede photographer and other media representatives are witnesses to what I am saying, because I was with them after the incident," he pointed out.
