The Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) announced that with a new promotional video they are reminding that the law prohibits the use of state property for electoral purposes and that this offense is punishable by up to five years in prison.
This non-governmental organization is conducting the "Vote freely" campaign this year, promoting the inviolable right of citizens to free political choice.
"The goal of the campaign is to remind citizens of their right to vote according to their convictions, and that no one has the right to influence their choice by illegal means. As part of the campaign, we have prepared eight promotional videos with messages that should motivate citizens to freely to express their will in the upcoming presidential elections and to remind them of their right to vote according to their conviction," reads the CDT announcement.
They said that they are inviting citizens to join their electoral community and to share the key messages of CDT's campaign on their social networks to encourage voters to resist possible pressures and blackmail.
"We invite the media houses, NGOs and participants in the elections to help us so that the messages in the "Vote freely!" campaign reach as many people as possible. Vote freely," the CDT statement concludes.
