The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral announced that despite the adoption of the Law on Freedom of Religion and the signing of the Basic Agreement, they still feel concerned about the attitude of certain political and other communities towards the church.
As stated in the announcement, these political and other communities "base their actions on the fight against the Church, on threats, mockery, slander and false accusations against the Church at the expense of their party and daily political interests".
"In this way, creating discord and hatred between people, and persisting on national divisions and misfortunes. We hope in God that this will soon come to an end and that harmony and togetherness will prevail in Montenegrin society, which are the condition of any progress and development," he says. in the announcement.
A meeting of clergy, abbots and abbesses of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral was held today in the Church of the Resurrection in Podgorica.
In the announcement, submitted after the meeting, it was stated, among other things, that the Gymnasium "Svetog Sava" in Podgorica will start working this school year.
