The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje filed a case against Velizar Marković, the brother of the Montenegrin Prime Minister, due to threats to "Dana" journalist Vladimir Otašević.
The spokesman of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office, Denis Zvrko, said that the case is in the investigation phase.
"Given that he learned about the event from the media, the prosecutor on duty formed a case and sent a request to the UP in Mojkovac in order to collect the necessary information," said Zvrko.
As "Dan" reported, Marković cursed and threatened Otašević in a telephone conversation when the journalist contacted him in order to establish contact with his brother Radoj through him.
The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "Dana" Nikola Marković called on the authorities to act because of the threats to the journalist, while the Citizens' Movement URA and the Democratic Front said that it was about intimidation of critics of the regime. "This is another example of the ossiness of the regime's caste, which thinks that everything is allowed to it," said DF official Slaven Radunović.
