The President of Tivat Municipality and the holder of the Narod Pibjedijuja list, Željko Komnenović, said that Jakov Milatović had about a thousand more votes than Milo Đukanović in the second round of the presidential elections in that municipality.
"As People Wins and local civic lists appeared in the political sky of Montenegro in 2020, we don't know about defeat. This is the biggest victory we won, and may Tivat, Boka and Montenegro be free with luck for everyone," he said. Komnenović in front of supporters in the local election headquarters of Jakov Milatović in Tivat.
"We have finally sent to the political past the dictator who, like a vampire, drank the blood of the people for 34 years, it is time for justice to return and for the sun of freedom to shine over the whole of Montenegro. Tivat significantly participated in this victory," Komnenović added.
He said that he hopes "that on June 11, we will finally send DPS into the political past".
"This victory is dedicated to all those who have been waiting for this day for 34 years, many are no longer with us... We returned each time defeated, disappointed, but now our five minutes have come and we must bring, on the wings of this victory, new justice and freedom for all citizens. We will certainly not stop there and will give the maximum contribution," said Komnenović.
