The victory of the citizens and Jakov Milatović, and in fact the repeated victory of the citizens on August 30, 2020, marked the definitive defeat of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and its president Milo Đukanović, said Demos.
As stated in the press release of this party, the citizens are celebrating for a reason.
"Because the leader of the hybrid regime and endemic corruption, the inspirer of deep divisions, the usurper of power in the created conditions of controlled institutions, was finally and formally defeated," they state in the announcement.

They say that Milatović will be the president of all citizens in the true sense.
"Who will lead an integrative policy of national unification and economic and spiritual renewal of the country, by electing above all a constitutional president - Montenegro gets a new chance to open the process of overall recovery, for the long-delayed democratic and moral reform of Montenegrin society", concludes Demos.
Milatović (Movement Europe now) won 60 percent of the votes in the second round of the presidential elections, and the candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Milo Đukanović 40 percent.
