Radoje Marković from Mojkovac, the brother of Prime Minister Duško Marković, denied allegations by Democratic Montenegro that he threatened their activists in Mojkovac, the RTCG portal reports.
The Democrats stated in a statement that Marković threatened to kill them.
"Regarding the allegation that I threatened the activists of Democratic Montenegro and even attacked them, as stated in the tendentious statement of that political party, I want to inform the public that my family was the one who experienced the inconvenience, when the unnamed political and propaganda activists of Democratic Montenegro Above, unannounced and recklessly, they came to the door of our house in the afternoon, interrupting our rest, and asking my family for support for their party and their politics," Marković said in his response.
He explains that when his wife told them that they did not support them and that they did not want to talk, the Democrats' activists "persistently and without deviation demanded explanations and reasons for our position".
"The whole time I was inside, in bed, like a man of nearly 70 years old, who had been awakened from his sleep. Hearing an argument on the doorstep of the family home, I got up and asked them to leave my house and my property. That is the only truth, and everything else are constructions and lies with the aim of compromising the party and politics to which I belong, as well as my own brother who is the prime minister. Therefore, I did not have a verbal or any other conflict with them, but my privacy was violated by the activists of Democratic Montenegro and freedom, by imposing other people's political views and thinking", concludes Radoje Marković's response.
