I hope that after the extraordinary parliamentary elections, a significantly more stable majority will be formed, which will be an expression of the will of all citizens, said the President of the Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
Extraordinary parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 11.
Speaking on Radio Television Nikšić (RTNK), she said that she hopes that after the formation of the aforementioned majority, it will finally be possible to form a stable government.
"During the pre-election campaign, we also talked about the fact that audits will be carried out, we talked about the uneven construction of Podgorica for decades, the centralization that we all stood against, as well as the devastation of green areas," said Borovinić Bojović.
She added that she is happy about the fact that there is now a plurality of political parties in which, as she believes, there is no single-mindedness and single-government.
"So, you saw that there are over ten constituents who participate in the local government, and who will work together to implement new ideas, to examine the previous ones, to change everything that needs to be changed, that's why we mentioned the revision ", Borovinić Bojović said.
She emphasized that they have a huge job ahead of them, but also an obligation and responsibility towards the citizens.
"In general, I am looking forward to the parliamentary elections, mostly because I believe that a stable majority is needed in the Assembly so that it does not happen that because of the vote of one deputy, we have the kind of crisis we witnessed," she stated.
She also referred to the large-scale arrest operation that was carried out the previous Sunday in our country, during which the president of the Municipality of Budva, Milo Božović, was also arrested.
"Our people are generally inclined to attack easily, but also defend easily," said Borovinić Bojović.
As she believes it is necessary to enable the competent authorities to do their work in an adequate way.
"It would not be fundamentally correct to interfere and make some a priori decisions related to such important events. In this way, we would only hinder the functioning of the competent authorities, i.e. the SDT, which I am sure will carry out the entire procedure as it should," Borovinić Bojović pointed out. .
