At today's meeting, the Presidency of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) supported the decision of the committee club "For the Future of Zeta", led by the Democratic Front, to adopt a declaration on the "cancellation and invalidation of the decision" on the recognition of Kosovo on the territory of the Zeta Municipality at the next session of the Zeta Municipal Assembly.
They expect other municipalities to do the same, where the majority is made up of the parties of the "former August XNUMXth majority".
"Despite the fact that over 85 percent of Montenegrin citizens were against the recognition of the so-called state of Kosovo and its inclusion in international organizations, because it is in contradiction with Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council, the governments of Zdravko Krivokapić and Dritan Abazović continued the continuity of Milo Đukanović's foreign policy and Duško Marković, which is in contradiction with the national interests of Montenegro and the majority of its citizens," announced the DNP Presidency.
They said that this is why they support the position of the committee club "For the future of Zeta", that the declaration expresses disagreement with the "minority policy of Dritan Abazović's government", as well as all previous governments which, "contrary to the majority will of the citizens, implemented and continue to implement a treacherous foreign policy directed against interests of Montenegro and the closest country to us in the region, Serbia".
"At the same time, the Presidency of the DNP expects that after the voting of this Declaration in the Assembly of Zeta, other municipalities in Montenegro, in which the majority are the parties of the former August XNUMXth majority, will adopt the same Declaration and thus begin the process of returning Montenegro to its historical, spiritual and state-building origins." , the announcement states.
At today's session of the Presidency of the DNP, the report on financial operations was unanimously adopted, with "praise to the leadership of the party for ending this financial year in a financial plus, regardless of numerous difficulties", the party concludes.
