The case of deletion of signatures for the presidential candidacy Goran Danilović was taken over by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), it was officially confirmed by "News" from the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica - which has been handling the case until now.
This case originally came to the prosecutor's attention after Danilović suspected that someone in the State Election Commission (SEC) had deleted about two thousand signatures, which were needed for the election race. After that, the SEC, as they claimed, submitted to the competent prosecution the disputed forms with the signatures of voter support for Danilović, the leader of the United Montenegro.
Before the first round of the presidential elections, in March of this year, he claimed that it was the job of the Special State Prosecutor's Office because it also deals with electoral law. United submitted a criminal complaint to the SDT because, as they stated, an organized group deleted data from the election form with a total of 316 lists, making more than 2.000 signatures of support invalid.
Ujedinjena recently announced to "Vijesta" that the president of Ujedinjena CG Goran Danilović and the president of the Capital City Committee gave statements as witnesses to the SDT. Branko Kovačević, because the prosecution is investigating the case.
However, the basic prosecutor's office is investigating suspicions that the signatures for handing in the presidential election papers for several candidates, namely for Danilović, were forged. The Podgorica Prosecutor's Office responded to the question of whether, in addition to Jovan Radulović, you heard other presidential candidates in the investigation of forgery of signatures of support for presidential candidates, and in what capacity:
"In the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, several cases were opened on this occasion. Acting in the mentioned cases, the state prosecutors interviewed several persons".

He was heard, as they stated, by the president of the SEC Nikola Mugoša and Jovan Radulović.
"The case related to the presidential candidate GD has been handed over to the Special State Prosecutor's Office. In other cases, the actions provided for by law are taken, depending on the stage of the procedure," the basic prosecutor states in the answers. Dusko Milanović.
Earlier, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office announced to "Vijesta" that 49 cases were opened regarding the forgery of citizens' signatures and abuse in the pre-election campaign.
According to the same prosecutor's office, 38 persons and the Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) on behalf of 54 citizens filed a complaint for forging signatures of support for any of the presidential candidates.
