The newly elected president Jakov Milatović resigned from the position of councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City, due to incompatibility of functions.
Milatović was the holder of the list of the Movement Europe now in the local elections in Podgorica in October last year, and last month he won the presidential elections. Olivera Injac, who was second on that list, was elected mayor of Podgorica.
"I wish the councilors in the Assembly of the Capital City much success in their future work, with the hope that in the coming period we will intensify the cooperation between the institutions of the President of Montenegro and the Assembly of the Capital City," said Milatović in the letter.
On the website of the Capital City Assembly, it was announced that the deputy mayors Danilo Saranović (Democrats) and Luka Rakčević (URA), as well as the director of the Health Center Danilo Jokić (United) have submitted their resignations.
Filip Ivanović, Maida Gorčević and Tihomir Dragaš submitted their resignations from the list of the Europe Now Movement.
From the list "All for our city", Branislav Milačić and Danka Kovinić did the same, and earlier also Miloš Vukčević.
Esko Muratović from the Civic Movement URA also submitted his resignation.
Their resignations will be presented at tomorrow's session of the city parliament.
