The withdrawal of the leaders of the majority of opposition parties was the only way to stop the continuous decline of support in the elections, and most of them have nothing to look for in the new political reality in Montenegro, the interlocutors of "Vijesti" assessed.
The leaders of most opposition parties decided not to be on the electoral lists, giving way to their colleagues.
Thus, there will be no leaders of the Social Democrats (SD) on the lists. Damir Šehović, Social Democratic Party (SDP) Raško Konjevića and the Liberal Party Andrije Popović. On the list of the Democratic Party of Socialists (SDP) next to the former leader Milo Đukanović, there are no long-term party and former state officials Predrag Bošković, Duško Marković, Petar Ivanovic, Mevludin Nuhodžić, Luiđa Škrelje...
Executive Director of the Center for Monitoring and Research (CEMI), Ana Nenezic, believes that the decades-long leaders and high-ranking officials of these parties, after the previous three election cycles in which the voters sent them a clear message, through a continuous drop in support and votes, understood or it was explained to them, that each of their further involvement means a further drop in voter support .

"The parliamentary, local, and then presidential elections were a sufficient signal that their further insistence on active roles in the parties means less and less chance for SD and SDP to remain active participants in political life, that is, for DPS to have any chance to regain at least part of lost voters", said Nenezić for "Vijesti".
She assessed that the withdrawal of the leaders of these parties was the only way to stop the previous continuous decline in support, for these parties to at least partially relax the burden of numerous unresolved affairs that are linked to the majority of old cadres, and the first step towards the necessary internal party reform, as DPS- as well as other smaller parties of this corps.
Analyst and civic activist Stefan Djukic he doubts that it is about the responsibility of the leader, but rather about avoiding additional defeats.

If they felt responsible, they would have retired from politics a long time ago: Đukić
"Given the characteristics of the representatives of our political class and their almost absolute (honorable exceptions) inability to really accept responsibility for anything bad, even the party result, I doubt that it is about accepting responsibility. After all, if they felt something like that, they would have retired from politics a long time ago. I believe that it is much more about the feeling of the upcoming bad results and the desire, not much different from this failure to bear responsibility, that they do not face these additional defeats, but leave it to others," Đukić told Vijest.
After all, as he added, most of them have nothing to look for in the new political reality in Montenegro - they could have been ministers, MPs, and useful advisors to the bloc that was led by Milo Đukanović sovereignly and intelligently.
"In this political situation, when they have to slowly build from the opposition and uncertainly hope to achieve it after several election cycles, they withdraw - they do not have enough charisma, and possibly no ideas, how to deal with the unenviable position they are in. The security and privilege under the umbrella of strong DPS no longer exists and the climate is different now. "People who are used to that umbrella, who find it difficult to imagine Montenegro without the total power of the Democratic Party of Socialists and Milo Đukanović, have no sense after the reality has fundamentally changed," said Đukić.
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 11, and there are still two days left for submitting the list. So far, only the People's Movement "Justice for All" has submitted the list, to which the State Election Commission returned the list for revision on Friday because about 200 signatures are missing.
A number of political parties have defined the arrangement in which they will participate in the elections, while some will do so on Monday, the day before the final deadline for the submission of parliamentary lists.
On Friday, at the session of the Main Board (GO), the DPS decided to participate in the elections with the Social Democrats (SD), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Liberal Party (LP) and the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA). And while SD SD confirmed such a decision on Friday, SDP decided to go to the elections independently. According to unofficial information, the GO made the decision on independent performance by a narrow majority, and the current president of the party, Raško Konjević, will not be on the electoral list.
On Friday evening, 29 members of the GO SDP voted for an independent performance, while 28 were against and three abstained, said the source of "Vijesti".
DPS will be on the list Nikola Janović, then Nermin Abdić, Drita Lola, Oscar Hutter, Aleksandra Vuković, Ivan Vukovic, Jevto Eraković, Abaz Dizdarević, Sonja Milatović, Zoja Bojanić Lalović, Andrija Nikolić, Nikola Rakočević, Dušan Raičević.
Some media reported that it was agreed that out of 81 mandates on the list (as many as the Parliament has deputies), 21 belong to the coalition partners. DPS has not officially announced yet, although an announcement was announced after the GO session.
On the list of the SD, there are officials on the list Boris Mugoša, Branislav Nenezić, Nihad Canović i Nikola Zirojevic.
Yesterday, the main committee of the Liberal Party supported the decision on the coalition performance of that party with DPS, SD and the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA) in the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 11. GO voted for the candidates of that party on the joint list Vatroslava Belana, Ammar Borančić i Jelena Marković.
The party president and longtime MP Andrija Popović is not on the list. Belan, Borančić and Marković are members of the presidency of the LP, as well as councilors in the assemblies of the municipalities of Tivat, Bar and Nikšić.
The main committee of the Movement Europe is now scheduled for Monday. Smaller parties and local lists are negotiating a joint performance with PES, and it is expected that the epilogue of that process will be known in the next day or two. An agreement with that movement was reached by United Montenegro and Novska lista, "Vijesti" sources said.
GP URA will participate in the elections with the Democrats, and from the Prime Minister's party Dritan Abazović for today they announced a session of the General Assembly where they will decide on the performance and the list in the parliamentary elections for which, as they stated, they collected the necessary number of signatures in the previous two days.
PES is still negotiating with the Citizens' Association CIVIS, the Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP), and with smaller parties from Bar, Tivat... Those subjects, among others, supported one of the leaders of PES and the newly elected head of state Jakov Milatović in the presidential elections.
BS independently, Ibrahimović is the leader of the list
The Bosniak party will appear independently in the extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 11, it was unanimously decided yesterday at the session of the Main Board of that party in Rožaj.
The holder of the list is the president of the Bosniak Party, Ervin Ibrahimović.
"We are convinced that through an independent performance and direct contact with citizens, through a positive campaign, we will present our election program, the focus of which will be on the economy, balanced regional development, the rule of law, the protection of minority rights, the position of young people and women", it is stated in announcement.
Nova and DNP without PzP for the elections
New Serbian Democracy and the Democratic People's Party will appear in the Democratic Front coalition in the parliamentary elections on June 11, while the Movement for Change will not be on the list, "Vijesti" has learned.
According to information from the DF, the alliance of those three parties will cease to exist today, which its former leaders will announce at a press conference.
NSD, DNP and PzP have appeared together in elections since 2012.
