Jokić: We will continue to contribute to mutual respect and tolerance
The President of Kotor Municipality Vladimir Jokić said that this municipality will continue to contribute to mutual respect, understanding and tolerance by its example.
"I congratulate all the citizens of the Municipality of Kotor on May 21 - Independence Day. I believe that by respecting the principles of democracy and building the fundamental principles of the rule of law, we will enable our country to be a harmonious home of all peoples, cultures and religions. Kotor will continue to set an example contribution to mutual respect, understanding and tolerance.
"With the desire for Montenegro to be a country of developed institutions, democracy, solidarity and social responsibility, once again on behalf of the Municipality of Kotor and in my own name, I congratulate you on the holiday," said Jokić.
Nenezić: Montenegro at a turning point
The President of the Bar Municipal Assembly, Branislav Nenezić, said that Montenegro is at a turning point, and that it is necessary to make additional efforts, "in order to continue walking on the right path".
"On behalf of the Municipal Assembly of Bar and on my own behalf, to the citizens of Bar and to the citizens of Montenegro, I congratulate May 21 - Independence Day of Montenegro, the day when the dreams of generations of our citizens came true, when a modern, civil and multicultural Montenegro was elected in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere as the only correct path.
"I especially want to congratulate the citizens of Bar, who on that day were also an example of how important issues can be decided with dignity, with full respect for their neighbors and friends who may have thought differently, and thanks to which today we all live together in multicultural and civil Bar and Montenegro.
"The restoration of independence not only enabled us, but also imposed an obligation that we have towards the coming generations, which is to work diligently every day in order to create a just society and a state in which the values of freedom, equality and economic well-being are lived every day.
"Today, we are all aware that when we look at all the challenges we face as a society and as a country, we are perhaps at a turning point when it is necessary to make additional efforts in order to continue walking on the right path, upright and proud like all our heroes from I traveled through Vučje dol and Grahov with only one thought that Eternal Montenegro is all of us," said Nenezić in his congratulatory message.
