Bosniak: The European path has no alternative

The Vice-President of the Assembly, Branka Bošnjak, said, in her congratulatory message on the occasion of Independence Day, that Montenegro's European path has no alternative and that the country, more than ever, needs internal peace.

"Montenegro has been an independent country for 17 years, since 2006 when it restored its independence in a referendum. Today, after so many years of waiting for its essential and factual accession to the European Union, it is more than clear that its European path has no alternative and that almost all reform processes must be dynamized that will ultimately lead us to a better, more stable and more certain future. More than ever, Montenegro needs internal peace thanks to which the political will, truly ready to build a democratic, ethical, multi-ethnic and European Montenegro, will be consolidated. And no matter how important its identity peculiarities, the form and the very cult of independence, which was resorted to for a long time, because the essential changes that lead to true, true independence were missing, today, nevertheless, more than ever, after the change of the stabilocracy, we can we hope for a more prosperous future.

"That's why, on my behalf, on behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro, I use the opportunity to congratulate all citizens on the Independence Day of Montenegro, to wish them peace, harmony, wisdom, progress, but also a greater degree of social cohesion, responsibility and harmony on our common path of building , strengthening and comprehensive reform strengthening of European Montenegro," she stated in her congratulatory message.
