Ada must be a national ecological-naturist park and a high-class brand, based on a combination of ecology, tourism, history and culture, said Liberal Party (LP) candidate for deputy on the coalition list "Together for the future that belongs to you" Ammar Borančić.
At the forum in Ulcinj, as reported, he said that the party will propose to the Parliament of Montenegro an initiative for the protection of Ada Bojana as a nature park.
"Ada as such will generate hundreds of new jobs, make the tourist offer in Ulcinj more attractive and confirm Montenegro as an attractive tourist destination. Velika plaža and Štoj will develop to the level of the most elite resorts in the Mediterranean. This locality has an offer that is unique in Europe, and together with the nature park in Solana, the whole of Ulcinj will become a kind of miracle of nature, a protected zone where guests from all over the world will satisfy their needs for rest and feel the beauty of untouched nature," said Borančić.
The naturist camp, claims Borančić, is becoming the target of "increasingly aggressive" attacks by circles "close to the Government of Montenegro."
"They decided to completely destroy and sell off at dubious tenders the greatest treasure on Ada Bojana, and what Montenegro painstakingly built for half a century on this site. After an aggressive campaign to remove the ramp at this camp, then by setting up catering establishments in the middle of this beach , by organizing concerts in an area declared by law to be a quiet zone, the Prime Minister and the Government are creating all the preconditions for the destruction of Ada Bojana," he added.
According to him, the representatives of the authorities tried with a "dubious" tender to sell off the property of Ada and deal the final blow to the concept of the resort.
"Instead, we offer a completely new concept for the protection of this area, we support the citizens' petition which already has almost 2.000 signatures of support, and which envisages a unique approach to the development of Ada while preserving its specificity, biodiversity, oasis of peace, but also the most recognized naturist and FKK destination in Europe, which gathers thousands of foreign tourists every year," concluded Borančić.
