From the Coalition "Together! For the future that belongs to you - Danijel Živković", they assessed that Herceg Novi is a victim of "negligence and inaction" of the current government, and said that they will restore the "old shine to the pearl" of Boka Kotor.
"I believe that in these elections the citizens will recognize what is correct, responsible and serious politics. I believe that the citizens will know that they appreciate how the responsible policy of the previous governments, which made up the parties of our coalition, treated Herceg Novi", said the holder of the list, Danijel Živković, at the forum held yesterday in Herceg Novi.
He said, as reported, that the two previous governments "negligently and inaction" brought Herceg Novi into a subordinate position.

"We see how inaction and negligence of both the state and local administrations affect the development of Herceg Novi. We see that we have not fulfilled the promise made by the local self-government regarding the realized project of the promenade from Tito's Villa to Galeb. "Instead of the completed promenade by the end of May, as already announced, we see that the pre-season has been completely destroyed," said Živković.
He also referred to the situation with the "Dr. Simo Milošević" Institute in Igalo, as well as the ferry line Kamenari - Lepetane.
"When we talk about the Institute, one of the biggest resources that Herceg Novi has, which has survived the challenges of difficult times, inflation, sanctions and the economic crisis, it could not happen that the wages of employees are delayed for four months and that the existence of citizens is threatened, and that be on edge. If we add to that the behavior of the state government and those in power in terms of procuring the ferry, which, as we can see, is no longer functioning, then it is clear what kind of hopelessness the government is in today, both at the local and state level," said the acting president of DPS .
Živković said that instead of a responsible attitude towards Herceg Novi, "we see ignorance", and that the previous three years were "completely lost".
"For the past three years, it seemed to me that Montenegro was a platform for performing some experiments, which did not pass. Our authorities were serious and responsible. On the other hand, no one managed to shake the political stability in Montenegro while our coalition was in power, because we knew how to come to an agreement behind closed doors at the table. They not only cannot come to an agreement behind closed doors, but also publicly on the stage behind the lecterns, they announce the worst insults about each other", concluded Živković.

The spokesperson of the Social Democrats and candidate for MP Nikola Zirojević expressed his wish for Herceg Novi to be the tourist center of Montenegro again.
"We want Herceg Novi tomorrow to be like Portonovi, which is the legacy of those earlier governments, whose support was these political parties that formed the 'Together!' coalition. We want Herceg Novi to be a modern tourist destination, which people will be happy to visit. "To be a city open to everyone, regardless of how anyone feels and declares themselves, in which no one will be harassed regardless of their preferences," Zirojević pointed out.

MP candidate Zoja Bojanić Lalović assessed that Montenegro is today "in a major crisis of cultural and civilizational identity".
"As someone who is on the list of the coalition 'Together!' I think it is a mission of special historical importance, because Montenegro is currently in one of the most challenging moments in its history," she said.

Parliamentary candidate Andrija Radman reminded that the DPS, together with its coalition partners, was criticized for forgetting about Herceg Novi during its time in power.

"DPS and coalition partners would never allow maritime traffic to leave Herceg Novi after many decades. For taxes and incomes that have always belonged to Herceg Novi to go somewhere else," said Radman.
