The President of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, said that at the meeting of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, with the representatives of the political parties participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 11, he announced three key issues.
"First of all, let's respect the code on fair and democratic campaign until June 11, and I also believe that today's joint message and the beautiful picture we sent is the function of a positive campaign that is being conducted and will be conducted... Another important task after 11 June is to quickly obtain a strong and stable government and a stable majority, because these are the key prerequisites for the achievement of all other socio-political goals on the internal level, on the level of European integration. The third task, which will take more time after June 11, I hope not too much, is to reach a much-needed consensus regarding rounding off the personnel equipment in the judiciary and regarding the necessary majority for the reform of the electoral legislation," Bečić told reporters after the meeting.
He said that dialogue and compromise are significant, but also expensive words in Montenegrin society.
"I believe that after the end of all the 'big issues' that burdened society with the rule of one regime, with one man at the head of that regime, with certain religious issues, which are all behind us, the preconditions are now being created for the relaxation of relations, for a democratic dialogue in order to protect civil Montenegro, to fulfill these tasks and reach a much-needed consensus on our European path. It is true that everyone will have to make some sacrifices in order to reach these goals, but when everyone loses a little, when everyone is a little satisfied, and somewhat dissatisfied, then Montenegro is sure of victory," said Bečić.
The meeting of the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović with the representatives of the political parties participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 11 was held in Villa Gorica in Podgorica.
