Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović said that it is not true that Milojko Spajić, as he claims, reported South Korean citizen Do Kwon to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
"Unless it is about the information that Spajić expanded a little and said that with the help of some people from the blockchain community who were in Luštica, they gave some information. Another piece of information that is disputed is whether Spajić had contacts with him, because the man is wanted, I think it is not good if that is the case", Abazović added.
Abazović said that he informed the Minister of Justice Marko Kovač about the content of the letter and sent it to the competent prosecutor's office.
"That is all that is in my domain. Apart from that, I have no special comment. I will not deal with the content of the letter. I just want to say for the sake of the citizens - this is not about a drug addict from Zabjela or another part of Montenegro, this is about a man who is accused of having embezzled 40 billion dollars and who is wanted by the competent authorities of the USA, South Korea and in whom the FBI is particularly interested. I think that bringing him into context with anyone in Montenegro, especially on the public stage, is not good if is correct," Abazović pointed out.
Abazović does not think that this case will have an epilogue until June 11.
“But maybe it gets an epilogue after that. The goal is to have clean jobs. I think that it is in the interest of people who want to engage in public work and to see if there are any illegal actions or if everything is the product of some personal reckoning within the blockchain community," said Abazović.
He said that the Government and the Prime Minister are responsible for safeguarding the national interests of Montenegro from the involvement of various criminals.
"I don't want to target anyone, ours is only to protect the national interests of the state. We cannot become a breeding ground for white-world fraudsters, even if they were dealing with blockchain or anything. Who wants to work legally, transparently, visibly, without money laundering, more is more than welcome. Whoever imagined something else must face the state authorities of Montenegro, and it applies to everyone," said the Prime Minister.
When asked how he comments on the statements of the officials of the Movement Europe now that members of the Government, ANB and the judiciary participated in the creation of the affair against Spajić, Abazović says that sometimes he cannot understand, even though he knows the members of PES.
"I can't put them all in the same context, I can't understand that their leaders are constantly calling us to be in some projects and on the other hand they need to invent something. The government has no need to settle accounts with anyone, that time has passed, died with DPS. The government has its own results, it can boast of many good things. Let them work hard, let them not subvert others. And if they want to talk about things that are incorrect in that way, then let them not be surprised if we talk about things that are correct. I'm talking about people who speak in that tone," Abazović said.
He added that he tolerated such behavior several times, and that for the sake of the general atmosphere in Montenegro, he can tolerate a little more.
"But now I am speaking directly to those people who have the need to invent things in order to make themselves important. Who participated in the previous governments with which they are now not so satisfied, and want to blame other people for the problems they are facing. If they have something specifically let them say. Totally irrelevant comments by rather irrelevant people," concluded Abazović.
