A 16-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will arrive in Montenegro on June 9 to observe the parliamentary elections on June 11.
The Council of Europe announced that the PSSE observation mission will be led by Reinhold Lopatka from Austria.
The mission will stay in Montenegro until June 12 "to observe the implementation of extraordinary parliamentary elections together with observers from the European Parliament and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR)".
"The delegation will meet with the leaders and representatives of the main political parties participating in the elections, the president and members of the State Election Commission, as well as representatives of civil society and the media, before observing the voting on June 11. Legal support during the visit will be provided by a member of the Venice Commission - a group of independent legal experts of the Council of Europe," the announcement stated.
