JU Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro has not signed any Memorandum of Understanding with the Electoral List of the coalition "Together", led by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) or with any other political party or movement.
This is stated in the announcement, which was signed by Ivan Vukčević, president of the Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro and Vojislav Delić, executive director.
They reacted after it was announced today from the DPS that the candidate for deputy and member of the DPS Aleksandar Bogdanović signed a general memorandum of understanding with the representative of 24 craft associations, Boris Marđonović.
"Our Chamber is focused exclusively on the improvement of craftsmanship, raising the quality of craftsmanship services and strengthening our capacities (in the professional sense), but also the responsibilities of craftsmen towards the users of our services and society as a whole," they stated in the announcement.
In their announcement, they remind the public that, after 12 years of existence, the JU Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro got a place to work.
"What was made possible by Mr. Goran Đurović, the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, with whom we held a productive meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism on June 1, 2023. On that occasion, Minister Đurović pointed out that the importance of craftsmanship is recognized as one of the basic drivers strength of economic development, and emphasized that he expects that with the joint work of the Chamber and the Government, we will improve the legal framework and expand the available support for craftsmen, which will result in the improvement of the development of craftsmanship in Montenegro," the announcement reads.
They called on Boris Marđonović not to pretend to represent all the craftsmen of Montenegro in his statements, public appearances and further actions.
"Which are independent in their work and decision-making, especially since their representative in the JU Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro, which was founded 12 years ago in accordance with Article 14 of the Law on Crafts, is not legitimate ("Official Gazette of Montenegro", no. 54/09 and 64/09). We repeat that our Chamber deals only with the profession, not politics", they conclude in the announcement.
