The results are behind us, and as part of the 44th government we will continue to work on improving the living standards of citizens, on creating a better Montenegro, on the persistent fight against organized crime and corruption, announced the Socialist People's Party (SNP).
In a statement sent to the media, the SNP thanked the voters who, as they say, expressed their will in the elections held yesterday in a democratic and peaceful manner.
According to the preliminary results, that party won two mandates.
"We owe special thanks to all supporters and voters of the Socialist People's Party, as well as to those who were not part of the SNP, who recognized our struggle for a stable Montenegro and showed us that we are worth it and that as part of the executive branch we worked in the interests of the citizens, and out of empathy and respect for our work and the unimaginable disappearance from the political scene, they honestly cast their votes. They showed us that, despite the numerous obstacles we encountered during and before the election process, we are walking the persistent and honorable path of justice and the fight for it." according to the SNP.
They say that the SNP is a party that has lasted a quarter of a century.
"And we will continue for a long time, thanks to the support you give us, and with which you encourage us to continue better and even more persistently. We have always inherited the true true values of our society, turned towards our tradition and rich history and culture, and at the same time always stood out and fought for our youth, it will be the same this time," they added.
They say that starting today they are starting new victories.
"In the year that we have been part of the executive power, we have achieved exceptional results, thank you to everyone who recognized it, and thank you to those who did not, because they gave us an additional stimulus to be even more persistent and better in the radical reforms that we initiated for the benefit of the citizens of Montenegro Gore," the announcement reads.
They add that they are the only party whose officials have not been accused or convicted.
"Which makes us even more proud, bearing in mind that we are surrounded by honorable people, who are ready to truly and dedicatedly fight for a better life in Montenegro," states the SNP.
Although, as they say in the announcement, a narrative was systematically built by political opponents, analysts, the media, and even the NGO sector that the SNP is a party of the past that does not have a census, they proved with one of the youngest parliamentary lists that even after the personnel reform they have a strong electorate .
"Which still supports honest work and wants for its political representatives people with clean biographies. Only together we can do better for Montenegro, for you," they conclude in the statement.
