The decline in the number of voters in Nikšić was recorded by all political parties (coalitions). Comparing the results of the recent extraordinary and parliamentary elections in 2020, the coalition for the future of Montenegro has 11.848 fewer votes, while the coalition led by DPS recorded a drop of 8.733 votes in three years.
As for the Democrats, they now had 2.608 votes less compared to the parliamentary elections in August 2020, when the Europe Movement did not even exist. However, it should also be taken into account that in the 2020 parliamentary elections, the turnout in Nikšić was 83,6 percent, while three days ago only 61,46 percent of registered voters turned out, as well as that the composition of the coalitions was changed.
Thus, three years ago, 37 percent of voters voted for the coalition for the future of Montenegro (KZBCG), and on June 11 of this year, 17,6 percent of citizens who exercised their right to vote voted for them.
As for the coalition led by DPS, three years ago, 40,16 percent of the citizens voted for them, and now 30,8 percent. The Democrats recorded the smallest decline - three years ago, 14,14 percent of the voters gave them their trust, and three days ago, 12,17 percent.
When comparing the results of the extraordinary parliamentary and local elections in Nikšić in 2021, it is noticeable that in two years the Democrats recorded 6.865 fewer votes, the coalition headed by DPS 8.669 fewer votes, and 6.163 fewer votes for the Future of Montenegro. In the local elections held two years ago, the turnout in Nikšić was almost 81,86 percent.
A drastic drop in the number of voters compared to the local elections in 2021 was also recorded during the first round of the presidential elections held in March this year. At that time, DPS candidate Milo Đukanović had 5.797 votes less than the coalition he led in the local elections, that is, 2.872 votes more than the number of votes the coalition led by DPS won on June 11.
Aleksa Bečić received 6.383 fewer votes than the Democrats achieved in the local elections, that is, 482 votes more than the "Hrabro se broji" coalition. As for Andrije Mandić, the candidate of the coalition for the future of Montenegro, he won 4.204 fewer votes in the town under Trebjes than the votes of his coalition in the local elections, i.e. 1.959 votes more than the number of votes won by the coalition For the Future of Montenegro on June 11. In the first round of presidential elections, in March, the turnout in Nikšić was 71,14 percent.
Given that the Europe Now Movement (PES) participated in the presidential and extraordinary parliamentary elections, these data can only be compared. Thus, on June 11, in Nikšić, they won 2.486 votes less than in the first round of the presidential elections, when their candidate, Jakov Milatović, had 12.103 votes.
