The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and its coalition partners won 19.265 votes in the last parliamentary elections in Podgorica, which is a significant drop compared to the 2020 elections when it had 41.923 votes. Of that number in Zeta, which has been an independent municipality since last year, DPS had 3.120 votes three years ago.
The movement gathered around DPS won 23 votes in the local elections in Podgorica on October 37.518 last year.
A significant difference is also visible in the results of the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition, which won 11.393 votes in the last parliamentary elections, and 40.873 votes three years ago, when it appeared with a slightly wider composition.
The then wider composition included the Socialist People's Party (SNP), as well as part of the current People's Coalition, Movement for Change, United Montenegro. In the elections on Sunday, they received a total of 3.200 votes - with the exception that the People's Coalition included other parties, and United was on the list with PES.
In last year's local elections in Podgorica, the coalition around the Democratic Front won 17.953 votes.
In both cases, the turnout at the polls was higher, and in the parliamentary elections, the votes of the voters of Zeta - which in the meantime became independent - were also counted.
The alliance of GP URA and Democrats won 11.032 votes in the last parliamentary elections. Three years ago, the Democrats participated in the parliamentary elections with Demos, when they had a total of 19.696 votes.
In the local elections in Podgorica last year, the Democrats participated in a coalition with United Montenegro and Demos, when they won 10.628 votes.
In 2020, GP URA won 10.525 votes with CIVIS, and in the local elections in Podgorica, the list consisting of URA, CIVIS and Albanian Alternative had 6.265 votes.
The Europe Now Movement (PES), which took part in the parliamentary elections for the first time, won 27.595 votes in Podgorica. They also participated in the local elections in Podgorica in 2022, when they received 21.388 votes.
The Bosniak Party also experienced growth compared to the previous parliamentary elections. They won 1.923 votes in the last elections, and 1.405 votes three years ago.
The Socialist People's Party with Demos had 1.623 votes, and in the local elections in Podgorica, where they ran independently, 2.719 votes, when they were left without a mandate.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) had 1.642 votes in the parliamentary elections in Podgorica, and 3.711 votes three years ago. In the local elections, she appeared as part of a wider coalition gathered around the DPS.
In the parliamentary elections on Sunday, the Reversal movement received about 3.000 votes, and in the local elections in October, about 1.800 votes.
