The leaders of the Capital City and the Municipality of Zeta should soon reach a concrete agreement regarding the problems of property demarcation and distribution.
This is what the President of the Municipality of Zeta told "Vijesta". Mihailo Asanović (DNP).
He said that on this occasion they had a meeting with the President of the Assembly Jelena Borovinić-Bojović, which was joined by the mayor Olivera Injac (PES).
"We introduced them to the problems we need to solve. We were told that there will be a new meeting very soon, when we will more specifically agree on all subsequent activities," Asanović pointed out.
The PG Bureau answered the questions of "Vijesti" when a meeting with representatives of the Municipality of Zeta will be organized regarding the delimitation and other problems and which are still open issues between the two municipalities, that they are in communication with the office of the President of the Municipality of Zeta.
"Due to the importance of the issue between the Capital City and the Municipality of Zeta, the meeting will be held soon, about which we will inform the media in a timely manner", they announced.
Zeta, formerly a city municipality within the Capital City, received the status of an independent municipality last year, when the Parliament of Montenegro adopted amendments to the Law on the Territorial Organization of Montenegro and the Law on the Capital City, a few months before the local elections. However, demarcation with the Capital and numerous other obligations have not yet been completed.
After the local elections on October 23 last year, the government in Zeta was formed by the Democratic Front, the Democrats and the Socialist People's Party.
The Democratic People's Party (DNP), as a member of the then DF, got the post of the President of the Municipality, and the Democrats the post of President of the Municipal Assembly.
Leader of the Democratic People's Party Milan Knezevic he recently said in an interview with "Vijesta" that he will not accept that Zeta is damaged in any way in the delimitation process with the capital or "in their attempt to build a collector in Botun in order to further endanger the environment in Zeta".
"It is not only the demarcation that is the problem. The problem here is that you have to ask the city's Čistoća to come and empty your containers, to ask the Roads to patch the holes along Zeta, to ask Rasvjeta to replace your light bulbs along Zeta... I hope that we will reach an agreement very soon", said Knežević.
Asanović said that it was presented to them at the meeting, that this is also the interest of the Capital City, because they are obliged to carry out activities in the territory of Zeta until the establishment of the company. He said that in the municipality of Zeta, in most cases, they are not satisfied with the work of those companies.
Recently, disagreements arose between the leaders of the two municipalities, after Asanović requested a meeting with the mayor about "burning problems" at the end of May, and received a response from her cabinet that it could happen at the end of June.
Asanović previously announced that they waited five months for the new government, because they did not want to work with the former mayor (Ivan) Vuković (DPS) not even to talk, because they considered that he is not a legitimate representative of the citizens of Podgorica, because he lost the elections.
The new government in Podgorica was formed six and a half months after the local elections, because the Constitutional Court could not rule on election appeals due to the lack of a quorum.
Committees on Monday about the dismissal of Krstović
The session of the Selection and Appointments Committee and the Committee for the Statute and Regulations of SO Zeta is scheduled for June 19, and on the agenda is the proposed decision on the dismissal of the President of the Municipal Assembly Luka Krstović.
Krstović's replacement was previously requested by councilors of the coalition gathered around the former Democratic Front, stating that Krstović did not act in accordance with the law, statute and rules of procedure of the Assembly, and related to the proposal of this coalition to make a declaration on the suspension of the decision on the recognition of Kosovo.
A third of the councilors of SO Zeta asked for a session to be scheduled on May 12, and Krstović, as they stated in the motion for dismissal, did not schedule the Assembly session within the time limit provided by the Rules of Procedure, but scheduled the session for the day of the parliamentary elections on June 11, after the election silence , at 20 p.m. That session was not held due to a lack of quorum, and a new one has not yet been scheduled.
