The government headed by me will continue to strongly support the Croatian community in Montenegro, as well as Montenegro itself in its integration process towards the European Union, said Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković.
As announced by the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI), the president of that party, Adrijan Vuksanović, met with him at the opening of the Croatian House in Subotica, where they exchanged views on current issues in Montenegro.
"The Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia once again congratulated Vuksanović on the historic result of the Croatian Citizens' Initiative, which it achieved in the recent parliamentary elections, when it won a record number of votes," according to the HGI announcement.
As they said, Plenković expressed his satisfaction with the activities of HGI, and Vuksanović thanked him for his statesmanship and unity, adding that it is a strength for the small community of Croats in Montenegro.
"He also emphasized the importance of the support of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, which is continuous, concrete and never more pronounced than when Plenković was at its head, to the Croatian community in Montenegro," the HGI stated.
They added that this fact is confirmed by the constant communication and frequent meetings of the leaders of the Croatian Citizens' Initiative and the Croatian National Council with the Prime Minister of Croatia and his ministers.
