The Europe Now Movement (PES) announced today that the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is the biggest enemy of Saint Stephen and Amman.
From that party, they reacted to today's announcement by the Municipal Board of DPS Budva, in which, among other things, it is stated that the President of Montenegro and Deputy President of PES, Jakov Milatović, while he was a minister, chased away Aman and Sveti Stefan, turned it into a mockery, and made citizens pay 100 million euros if the state loses the arbitration proceedings in London.
"Behind the populist allegations that Jakov Milatović chased Aman away, there is nothing more than a shameful attempt by DPS to shift the blame for the devastation of Miločerski Park and the unsustainable arrangement with Aman and Adriatic Properties from themselves to the burden of taxpayers. Like the case of failed guarantees for KAP, where the DPS government, by consciously failing to protect the financial interests of the state, gave 137 million euros to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska under sanctions, so they thought that by artificially fabricating the arbitration around Saint Stephen, they would give 100 million to their partners Wei Seng Pui and Petros Statis euros, which is the amount for compensation determined by Đukanović himself, in accordance with his own liquidity needs," the PES press release points out.
The party added that the citizens saw through the manner of the DPS and the former president of Montenegro and DPS leader Milo Đukanović, so on April 2 they sent a loud message that Montenegro is done with such abuses, having just elected Jakov Milatović as president.
"Instead of Sveti Stefan working at the highest level as the absolute pearl of the Adriatic and a symbol of Montenegro's tourist offer, Sveti Stefan is today reduced to the fact that Europa Nostra, a renowned organization that deals with the protection of cultural and historical heritage, classifies it as one of the seven most endangered sites of cultural heritage in Europe, which was brought about solely by the devastation of the tenant, in which DPS is a direct accomplice. Therefore, it is undeniable that DPS is the biggest enemy of Sveti Stefan and Amman, but as the citizens erased them from the political scene, a new opportunity was born for Sveti Stefan to regain its old glory, which will be high on the agenda of the Europe Now Movement," concludes the PES press release.
