It was agreed to form an intergovernmental commission for the economy, which will soon begin work, and which will consist of representatives of the Government of Montenegro and the Government of Azerbaijan, it was announced from the office of Prime Minister Dritan Abazović.
According to reports, Abazović hosted the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, during his stay in Baku.
Abazović's cabinet announced that Asadov congratulated the Prime Minister of Montenegro on his National Day on July 13.
"At the meeting, it was noted that the two countries have had an intensive political dialogue in the past few years and that in the coming period it should be followed by even stronger cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism and energy, as well as the rapprochement of the two business communities," the announcement reads.
Abazović, as it was said, expressed his satisfaction because the largest foreign Azerbaijani investment outside of energy is precisely in Montenegro, and added that we should think about other similar projects that could be implemented in the country.
"The increase in the number of flights on a weekly basis was welcomed and the need for the introduction of direct air lines was pointed out, which would further bring the two friendly countries closer together," the announcement states.
