The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, has started an official two-day visit to Serbia, the Information Service of the President of Montenegro announced.
The announcement adds that he was met at the "Nikola Tesla" airport in Belgrade by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic.
"In honor of the president's visit, the Montenegrin embassy is organizing a formal reception tonight at the Montenegrin House in Belgrade," the announcement states.
The Information Service of the President of Montenegro said that Milatović will meet with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and then with the President of the National Assembly, Vladimir Orlić, with a ceremonial welcome in front of the Palace of Serbia.
"As part of the visit, it is planned that the President of Montenegro will lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero in Avala along with military honors, as well as lay flowers in front of the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School. President Milatović's visit to Serbia comes after a visit to Brussels and the institutions of the European Union and NATO and with the aim of strengthening the political and economic relations of the two countries and improving regional cooperation", concludes the press release of the Information Service of the President of Montenegro.
Dacic welcomed Milatović upon his arrival in Belgrade, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) reports.
"I welcomed the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, who will be on a two-day official visit to the Republic of Serbia! I am looking forward to this meeting, which will further strengthen the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between our countries," Dačić said on Instagram, where he also published photos with Milatović .
