The Presidents of Serbia and Montenegro, Aleksandar Vučić and Jakov Milatović, met today in Belgrade.
The Information Service of the President of Montenegro announced that Milatović and Vučić had a tête-à-tête conversation, which they continued at the meeting of the delegations of Montenegro and Serbia.
The announcement adds that Milatović was welcomed today with the highest military and state honors in front of the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade, where he is on an official two-day visit.
The national anthems of the two countries were sung at the reception.
Milatović arrived in Belgrade yesterday afternoon, and he was met at the airport "Nikola Tesla" by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić.
Last night, the President of Montenegro had an informal dinner with Vučić and wrote on Twitter that it was an open conversation about the improvement of relations between Montenegro and Serbia.
Last night, Milatović attended a formal reception at the Montenegrin House in Belgrade where, among other things, he said that the revitalization of political relations is important for the improvement of economic relations between Montenegro and Serbia.
Milatović recently said that the focus of his visit to Belgrade will be the complete normalization of relations with Serbia as an important economic partner.
During the visit, Milatović will lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero in Avala. It was also announced that they will lay flowers in front of the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School, where nine students and a security guard were killed at the beginning of May this year.
He will also meet with the President of the Serbian Parliament, Vladimir Orlić.
