The constructive role of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the defense of the state interests of Montenegro was confirmed by the stable support of the voting public in the previously held parliamentary elections, said Acting President of the DPS Danijel Živković.
As reported by the DPS, he met today with Czech Ambassador Janina Hrebičkova.
Živković welcomed the long-term successful engagement of the ambassador who, as he said, with her work and commitment, constantly contributes to the democratic and reform processes of Montenegro and the country's European path.
He, introducing Hrebičkova to the activities of the DPS in the current internal and international context, pointed out the strong commitment and perseverance when it comes to the adoption of European standards and Montenegro's further path towards full membership in the European Union.
"In the previous period, the constructive role of the DPS in the defense of the state interests of Montenegro was confirmed, which was also demonstrated by the stable support of the voting public in the previously held parliamentary elections," Živković concluded.
Hrebičkova welcomed the vision of DPS to continue continuous internal party reform in the coming period and its role in the further democratization and Europeanization of Montenegrin society and the implementation of reforms from the European agenda.
She said that she expects that after the announcement of the official results of the parliamentary elections, a stable political government will be established so that Montenegro can continue its European path.
