Montenegro needs a stable, pro-European government that will, without delay, work on fulfilling the obligations from the European agenda, it was assessed at the meeting of the acting president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijelo Živković and the ambassador of the Netherlands, Joust Reintjes.
As reported by DPS, Živković and Reintjes discussed the progress of Montenegro in the negotiation process, in the context of the formation of a new government.
"The interlocutors concluded that European and Euro-Atlantic values have no alternative when it comes to the stabilization of political conditions and the further progress of the country, and that Montenegro needs a stable, pro-European government that will, without delay, work to fulfill the obligations from the European agenda," it says. in the statement.
Živković said that the process of European integration is a key priority for DPS.
According to him, DPS has remained consistent with that priority despite numerous challenges and significant changes on the internal and international level.
Reintjes, as stated in the announcement, confirmed the support of the Netherlands in the further steps of Montenegro on the way to membership in the European Union.
