The Bled Strategic Forum will be an opportunity to emphasize the importance of the process of European integration because the European Union must not slow down the European integration of the Western Balkans, according to the platform of the General Directorate for Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the participation of the Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dritan Abazović, at the event. in Slovenia, August 28 and 29.
The XNUMXth Bled Strategic Forum is organized this year under the slogan "Solidarity for the Global Future", and Abazović will also participate in the panel "Western Balkans: Everything changes, but everything stays the same".
The participation of the Montenegrin delegation at the 18th Bled Strategic Forum will, as stated in the platform, be an opportunity to point out the importance of the presence of the EU in the region, as well as the commitment of European institutions and member states to the policy of enlargement, bearing in mind the EU's geopolitical and strategic relationship with the West the Balkans.
"After joining the NATO alliance, full membership in the EU remains the primary strategic goal of Montenegro, and the Forum will highlight Montenegro's commitment to regional cooperation and good neighborly relations, as well as deepening cooperation and joint political representation of the region in dialogue with the EU.
