Few functionaries of any party have caused as much damage to their party as Danijela Đurović has continuously caused to the Socialist People's Party (SNP), this party said.
They announced themselves on the occasion of the interview that the former President of the Assembly and the former official of the SNP gave to "Vijesta".
Đurović said that it is known whose fault it is that the SNP celebrates the census.
The SNP said that several former officials of the SNP, led by Đurović, took an "immoral political path" on Vidovdan this year, renouncing the principles by which the SNP has been recognized for 25 years as an honorable party of honest and hardworking people.
"The best testimony to this thesis is today's address by Đurović, in which she confirmed that she and several other former officials of ours have been working dedicatedly for some time to cause political damage to the SNP, hoping that the SNP will not pass the census. They did not achieve that goal. The SNP is on achieved a much better result in the elections than they expected and despite the obstructions they carried out," the announcement states.
They add that the SNP is one of the key constituents of the Government of Montenegro, and that, unfortunately, Đurović and others will be one of the most important actors in Montenegrin politics in the future.
They say that the SNP achieves such influence and strength thanks to its policy and thanks to the honorable members and voters of the SNP, who, as they claim, all condemn these moves by Đurović and some other former officials.
The SNP accuses Đurović of being to blame for the collapse of the Herzegovinian board.
"What all of Montenegro knows today is that few functionaries of any party have caused as much damage to their party as Danijela Đurović has continuously caused to the SNP. Mrs. Đurović is responsible for the fact that our board in Herceg Novi has been reduced from a position of absolute power to two councilors, who fled after some time, and the SNP was left without a single one. Her home local committee in Herceg Novi did not even propose her to be a candidate for the list of deputies, and after she was elected as the president of the Parliament of Montenegro, she never stepped into her home local committee. She did not contribute to the election campaign, but hoped that the SNP would take as few votes as possible," the announcement reads.
They also say that the extent to which Đurović and some other former officials fell under the influence of DPS's way of conducting politics is best told by the fact that they renounced party functions in the SNP, but none of them renounced any state functions in which came thanks exclusively to the SNP.
"It is political immorality that will enter the textbooks as a classic example of political corruption, unethicality and being blinded by functions. It was Đurović from the position of the President of the Assembly who took certain steps that surprised our membership and for which we were often criticized. We remind the citizens that Danijela Đurović, in agreement with the DPS, is responsible for the fact that Radoje Žugić is still the governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro to this day. She is directly responsible for the fact that KAP workers, who thanks to the SNP were able to retire on preferential terms, did not to this day, they have not exercised that right because Mrs. Đurović offered herself more for the ambassadorial position than to advocate much more for KAP workers to exercise their rights," claim the SNP.
This party also states that during the local elections, the actions of Đurović, who, as they claim, arranged with the DPS to vote for the so-called Zeta laws.
"For the paradox to be brought to the maximum, Nebojša Vuksanović, who then carried the electoral list of the SNP, and who is now the first associate of Đurović, blamed Đurović the most for his electoral failure in the local elections in Podgorica. Today, this seems to have been suppressed in forgetting, but also that and all the other damage they caused us recently, the members and voters of the SNP remember and say to Mrs. Đurović and our other former officials that we wish them all a happy journey into the arms of Đukanović's DPS".
They also say that there was no clearer message that Đurović tied herself to the DPS politically than the decision of the DPS to topple the government due to the signing of the Basic Agreement, and only a month later to keep her as the president of the Assembly.
"Everything we are seeing these days regarding the actions of some of our former officials led by Danijela Đurović is a direct consequence of the direct agreements they made behind our backs with Đukanović's DPS".
They also add that Miomir Vojinović, the former Minister of Education, tried his best to harm them, and that he removed from government positions certain officials who were committed to the reforms and ideals of victory from August 30, and promoted individuals who were only loyal to the DPS or DPS satellites.
"We couldn't be surprised why he was doing that, but time solved the riddle and revealed that Vojinović and Đurović and all our other former officials who are gathering these days around a new political option have long been plotting how to betray the SNP, and to closer to the defeated DPS. For a quarter of a century, the SNP in Montenegro fought for the disempowerment of the DPS, and that goal was won on August 30, 2020. The once dominant, most powerful party in Montenegro is today a deep opposition. The SNP, therefore, managed to defeat much more serious and difficult opponents than defectors such as Đurović and some other former officials," the announcement states.
The SNP concludes that the party can only be more influential and stronger without people like Đurović, whom they accused of negligence and greed.
