The president of the municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, has resigned from his parliamentary position in the Assembly, "Vijesti" has learned.
He did this because of incompatibility of functions.
Kovačević was elected on the list of coalitions for the future of Montenegro.
Today, according to the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the deadline expires by which MPs who have other positions must decide which one they will keep.
The presidents of the municipalities of Herceg Novi and Plav, Stevan Katić and Nihad Canović, have also submitted their resignations to the parliamentary seats in the Parliament of Montenegro due to the incompatibility of functions - "Vijesti" has learned unofficially.
Earlier today, Tihomir Dragaš, an official of the Europe Now Movement (PES), also submitted his resignation from his parliamentary position.
