Živković: Ana Brnabić's shameful statement, it is not Serbs in Montenegro, only those whose leaders are on Belgrade's payroll

The statement of the President of the Government of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, that Serbs in Montenegro cannot be part of the government, is shameful and scandalous - even for someone who lowered the position of the head of the executive power to the level of the spokesperson of the President of Serbia, announced the acting president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS ) Danijel Živković.

"Brnabić maliciously forgets that the Serbs in Montenegro are not only those who - like the leader of the coalition for the future, are on the payroll of Belgrade and who - despite huge money, media-propaganda machinery and SNS party special forces, barely manage to cast up to 40.000 votes in the elections ", Zivkovic said.

He reminds the Prime Minister of Serbia that, according to the last census from 2011, more than 140.000 adult Serbs live in Montenegro, which, he said, means that Ana Brnabić obviously believes that more than 100.000 of them are not citizens with equal rights as those who vote for parties whose leaders are "zealous in fulfilling the mercenary tasks" of official Belgrade.

"Nevertheless - lest the prime minister should worry, Montenegro is a civil state in which the only relevant value is a measure of respect for the rule of law, not national affiliation, and the citizens of Montenegro - sovereignly and independently, despite all the efforts of official Serbia, will continue to bring decisions about who they want and who they don't want to see in the government. That's why - as long as you and your nationalist and big-state policies are like that, be sure that the citizens of Montenegro will use the products that come from your kitchen - and whose most famous exponent is precisely coalition For the Future, continue to reject with contempt, which they have been doing for more than a decade behind us," Živković concluded.
