The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) does not rule out the possibility of providing support in parliament in situations where a qualified majority is necessary, if a solution is reached by agreement and through consultations, said acting president of that party, Danijel Živković.
In an interview with Nova M, Živković warned that the party does not agree to blackmail and ultimatums.
As he said, if anyone thinks that by unilaterally issuing a solution to anyone in the Montenegrin parliament, they will present themselves as a partner to the European Union or a proponent of European values, they are on the wrong track.
"There will be no interlocutors in us. If someone wants to come to those solutions through consultation and agreement, we are definitely partners," said Živković.
He added that the DPS showed this in the previous period, whether they were the government or the opposition.
"We will not agree to anyone, to any political entity, to present unilateral solutions and in this way present themselves as an alleged representative of European values or the European agenda, and to blame the other person across from them for not being in favor of it, because they did not vote for someone else's solutions", stated Živković.
As he said, consultations, agreements and discussions are needed.
"After that, of course, we can always be constructive in the process of making decisions that involve a qualified majority," said Živković.
Speaking about the negotiations on the formation of a new executive power, he stated that, as things stand now, it is clear that this government cannot be stable, if it is formed at all.
According to Živković, the stability of the government does not depend only on the number of deputies who will support it, but on the homogeneity of the political structures that will support that government within the parliament.
"You can see for yourself that the political subjects, which are on one parliamentary list, are completely heterogeneous both programmatically and ideologically and that they cannot agree on what the future government should look like," said Živković.
He stated that, considering that, he does not think that this government can be stable if it is formed.
"For now, we are not convinced that this government will be formed soon," added Živković.
He said that the citizens do not have time to wait, that the Government should be formed as soon as possible and that it should be of a European orientation.
