The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) cannot support a government that does not have a clear programmatic and ideological vision, said the acting president of that party, Danijel Živković.
He said that the seriousness of the negotiations on the formation of the government "suffices that they are being conducted via WhatsApp or other mobile applications", and that this party cannot be an actor in that process.
"DPS is a serious political entity that exercised power for thirty years," stated Živković.
He pointed out that the party he leads is only interested in the value and program platform, and that only on such a basis can they cooperate with other political entities.
"We need to be brought together by a value and program platform, essentially, not formally, on some paper... If there is no such thing, if there is no common vision, there is no need to cooperate. Then let that government be formed now, and let's get to it as soon as possible ending, because this is how it is supposed to be, if one knows the day by morning, according to these negotiations, we see that the government will either not be formed, or if it is formed, it cannot be stable," he said.
Živković also commented on the position of the parties of the former Democratic Front (DF), in the current course of negotiations.
"Just look at what the identification card of the former DF, who begs every day for someone to accept them into the government?! That speaks volumes about the integrity of those people and their faded identification in front of the citizens, but that is a question for their voters, how will they evaluate it in the next elections," said Živković.
V. d. the president of the DPS pointed out that that party cannot support a government that does not have a clear common programmatic and ideological vision, and which implies the welfare of all citizens of Montenegro.
"All good solutions that are of national interest and that are for the good of the citizens of Montenegro have always met with our support, from whatever address they came from. We did not make political calculations or take into account whether, on the basis of such a vote, we to suffer political damage. We have always taken into account what are the essential and national interests. After all, we have shown this with all the successes we have achieved in the previous thirty years, and of course, by overthrowing two governments in the previous three years," concluded is Zivkovic.
