The President of the Municipality of Gusinje, Anela Čekić (DPS), contrary to the law, dismissed the duties of the Secretary for Finance, Miralem Bektešević, and took away the responsibilities of the Secretary for General Administration, Samra Balić, which is an act to which the Bosniak Party (BS) will have an adequate response, said Sanel Balić, President of the Municipality Board (OO) BS Gusinje.
He pointed out that Čekić's move called into question the survival of the coalition in Gusinje.
"Although we are part of the local government, we continuously warn of irregularities in the work of the municipal president's cabinet. Today's dismissal of the secretary for finance and general administration, contrary to the laws of Montenegro, is a move that shows that the local board of DPS is ready for anything, in order to eliminate any what kind of control in the work. Due to such an incorrect attitude towards the coalition partners, but also because of the interests and future of Gusinje, the OO of the Bosniak Party of Gusinje will reconsider further coalition engagement with the DPS. We are not afraid of the citizens' court, on the contrary, the citizens are ours in the parliamentary elections have clearly shown who they see as the future of Gusinje," said Balić in a statement published on the official BS website.
