Prime Minister Duško Marković should participate in the informal meeting of the presidents of the governments of the Western Balkan countries, which will be held on Saturday in the Albanian city of Durrës. At the Prime Minister's meeting, several working sessions will be held on topics related to regional cooperation and the strengthening of integration processes in the Western Balkans.
According to reports, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Cooperation Johannes Hahn and Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Spiril Miller will also come to Durrës.
Han was last in Montenegro on June 9.
The host of the meeting will be Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and participation was confirmed yesterday by Serbian and Macedonian Prime Ministers Ana Brnabić and Zoran Zaev.
The last meeting of the presidents of the states or governments of the Western Balkans was held on August 2 in Podgorica.
Marković then hosted the meeting of the Adriatic Charter, where the special guest was US Vice President Mike Pence.
Marković said that the summit is a suitable forum for gathering and for discussing the joint cooperation of the countries of the region.
He assessed that "all the countries of the region contribute to peace and security" and added that the challenges of the 21st century are common and that "there are no simple answers" to them.
Participation in the informal summit in Durrës will also be Marković's second visit to Albania since he became the head of the government at the end of November.
On December 11, he had an informal meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Issa Mustafa, in Shkoder. The topic of that meeting was demarcation with Montenegro.
